Don’t miss two upcoming day time steward trainings. Ideal for swing shift, evening, and per-diem workers or members who are unable to attend trainings scheduled in the evening. These trainings are free and open to all members.
 

The May 17 Training is at San Leandro Hospital in the Educational Center trailer, next to the hospital’s Emergency Room at: 13855 E. 14th Street, San Leandro, CA 94578. The June 3rd Training has been moved to our 447 29th Street office in Oakland.

Register early as space is limited. All attendees are asked to arrive approximately 15 minutes early to sign in.

• Friday, May 17, 2019 
  Basic Steward Training, Time: 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM
  Designed for new stewards, this course focuses on the rights and roles of union leaders, legal protections for stewards, problem-solving 101, and Weingarten rights.
   
• Monday, June 3, 2019 – LOCATION CHANGE
  Intermediate Steward Training, Time: 11:30 AM- 2:00 PM
  For those who already know the basics, this course looks closer at grievances and investigations, the tests of just cause, dealing with management, and the union’s right to information.
