Labor-Management Committees (LMCs) can be a useful strategy for representing members interests when new issues arise mid-contract.   COVID-19 leave and protection side letters  and a host of other non-contractual working conditions are addressed through this method.  On the downside, LMCs can be a way for management to appear to listen, without actually doing anything, tying up important issues in endless investigation/conversation.  At their worst, LMCs can be utilized by management to delay or divide the union.  Participate in a 1.5 hour zoom discussion on the tips and traps of LMCs.
