Special Chapter Officer Election for Media Officer

The new proposed Bylaws (more below) include the creating of a new Chapter Officer: Media Officer. John Hester has been serving in this role in an acting capacity. This election will make the position Official. The term of this new Officer position shall coincide with the current Chapter Board term. If order for this new Chapter Officer position to be created, the new proposed Chapter Bylaws need to be voted in.

New Proposed Bylaws Vote

Our Chapter is currently under the Chapter Bylaws Template. We had Port specific Bylaws under the Legacy Local, but those are no longer valid. In order to have Bylaws that reflect the needs and vision of our Chapter, the Chapter Board is proposing adopting the attached new proposed Bylaws. The major proposed changes include the creation of the Media Officer, Steward selection by worksite, term and responsibilities, Bargaining Team election process, and the process to fill vacancies on the Chapter Board.
