VOTING

UPDATE: 

There will no longer be mail-in or electronic ballots for this election. The vote will cover two weeks, all worksites as well as voting at Oak Street, so all members will have the opportunity to vote. This will be done to avoid the possibility of people voting twice.

There will be no voting October 9th due to the Indigenous Peoples Day holiday.

In-Person: In-person voting will be offered at SSA locations throughout the county from October 2-13, 2023. See below for the voting schedule.

Ballot Count: Ballots will be counted by the Election Committee on Friday October 13, 2023 @ 6PM at the SEIU Union Office 100 Oak Street, Oakland CA.

Eligibility

Only members in good standing are eligible to vote. Proxy voting is prohibited. Write-in votes are not permitted. If a ballot is not received at the voter’s home address ten (10) days prior to the election date, a duplicate ballot can be requested by emailing seiuelectioncommittee at gmail.com.

ELECTION CHALLENGES

Challenges to or disputes arising from the chapter election must be submitted in writing to the Chapter Election Committee within three (3) working days of the election results being announced. For a list of further duties, review the SSA Chapter Bylaws at www.seiu1021.org.
