San Joaquin Court Bargaining Update #3

It may have been hot outside, but we remained calm, cool, and collected at the negotiating table.
We started the day with a financial presentation by Linda Courtright, Chief Financial Officer, detailing the Court’s 24/25 budget. Afterward, we presented the bulk of our remaining proposals, including the following:

  • Term – Three years, with an expiration date of September 30, 2027
  • Resubmitted a suspension proposal – allowing for an appeal after a two-day suspension
  • Proposed additional floating holiday
  • Have the Court cover 100% of the cost of dependent coverage for dental and vision insurance
  • Have the Court cover 100% of the health insurance premium increases
  • Boosting vacation accrual rates and adding more incremental steps to reduce the gaps between years
  • A proposal to create a committee to establish an LPC IV classification.
  • A Cost of Living Adjustment of 19% over three years.

(Please note that these are PROPOSALS; the court has yet to respond to them)
