Your elected Bargaining Team has met with AHS management. We’ve brought thoughtful proposals that address our staffing and safety crisis and improve working conditions and patient care.  Our goals at the table are the same as our goals in the workplace: We want to make AHS a better, safer place to work, and we want to be able to enforce the contract AHS agreed to.  We want to FIX AHS.

Unfortunately, AHS management hasn’t been listening. Their proposals so far would make disciplining our members easier, make the consequences of discipline worse, and reduce the ability of our union to fight.  AHS management seems to have forgotten our historic unfair labor practice strike. They don’t remember 2020, and so far, they aren’t taking this process seriously. They need to understand that we intend to have this contract settled by May 31, when our contract expires.

Show management we’re serious:
Come to our rally on February 14!

NOTE: there have been questions about the physicians and their strike vote. Let’s be clear: Their issues with management are the same as ours! AHS wants to cut the admin time they need to give good patient care and cut their benefits. If they strike, you have the right to honor their picket line, and a duty to support striking workers.
